Taryn

Pilates Instructor

Taryn came to Just Pilates STL on July 31, 2024, but she wasn't new to Pilates. A former dancer, she'd begun practicing about five years earlier after breaking her leg because she wanted to become stronger for her future.

At JPSTL, she found something else: her happy place.

After class one day, Taryn told Natalie that she loved being at the studio so much it would be a dream to spend her days there. Natalie asked, “Have you ever thought about becoming an instructor?”

That question changed her path.

Taryn began training in February 2025, completed her comprehensive Breathe Education certification in June 2026, and continued through the Just Pilates STL Student Teaching Practicum.

Then came a coincidence neither of them noticed until later.

On July 31, 2026—exactly two years after her first JPSTL class—Taryn completed student teaching.

She came looking for a place to practice Pilates. She found her happy place—and eventually, a place to teach it.

Taryn believes movement should build confidence as much as it builds strength, and she wants every client to know they're capable of more than they think.

Outside JPSTL, she's a former dancer turned dance mom who spends her weekdays analyzing financial statements and managing corporate risk. She's also a dog mom to an Aussie and Husky mix who keep her exploring Missouri state parks.

Her eventual retirement plan? A tiny town somewhere in the Yucatán.

Until then, you'll probably find her at either the Pilates studio or the dance studio.
