Nicole
Lead Instructor & Teacher Trainer
Nicole discovered reformer Pilates in 2015 when her older sister invited her to a private intro session. She had never even seen a reformer, but the former gymnast in her was immediately hooked.
Years later, already comprehensively certified through STOTT PILATES® and with teaching experience of her own, Nicole came to Just Pilates STL in February 2025 looking for a place where she wanted to continue her own Pilates practice.
For months, Nicole simply came to class as a client. Natalie enjoyed having her there—and had noticed that Nicole seemed unusually comfortable on the reformer. She set herself up quickly and used classical Pilates breathing techniques. Clearly, this wasn't her first rodeo.
Then one day, Natalie announced during class that JPSTL was looking for people interested in instructor training.
Nicole responded with a question unusual enough to make Natalie take notice:
“Do you think there will ever be a time where you might ask me what I do for a living?”
“Sure, I’ll bite. What do you do for a living?”
That’s when Nicole revealed that she was already a comprehensively certified Pilates instructor—and that she wanted to work only at JPSTL.
Nicole joined the teaching team in June 2025 and later completed Breathe Education’s Teaching Mastery Program for already-certified instructors, integrating her previous training with the evidence-based philosophy used throughout JPSTL. Today, as Lead Instructor & Teacher Trainer, she mentors developing instructors and helps maintain the thoughtful, consistent teaching experience our clients expect.
Nicole remembers how foreign walking into a Pilates studio can feel. She’ll help you figure out “what the heck we’re doing,” encourage you to try things you may not think you can do yet, and notice the little wins along the way.
Her philosophy is simple: movement should be fun and judgment-free and leave you encouraged and wanting more.
Nicole loves to laugh, genuinely cares about her clients, and doesn’t take herself too seriously. For 45 minutes, she wants you to work hard, make connections, and have a really good time.
As she puts it, class should leave you with a good time, a good story, or both.
